South Africa’s all-female agency wins 9 Assegai Awards (2024)

Globally-recognised South African creative marketing agency, Triple Eight, has been named Agency of the Year 2024, taking home a total of nine awards at this year’s prestigious Assegai Awards.

Johannesburg, South Africa — Triple Eight once again proved that creativity, when used as tool for social change, can yield excellent results by winning outstanding nine awards at the 2024 Assegai Awards.

The prestigious annual awards took place on Thursday, November 14 at The Venue in Melrose Arch, Johannesburg. The event celebrated integrated marketing campaigns that deliver exceptional results, with Triple Eight emerging as one of the night’s biggest winners.

“We are incredibly proud of these accolades, which bring our total to 58 awards for creativity, effectiveness, and impact over the past five years,” said Sarika Modi, the agency’s managing director and founder.

Additionally, the agency was honoured with the Nkosi Award, one of only three special accolades presented during the event. The award is given to an entry that demonstrates exceptional performance across ROI, strategy, and creativity, representing the highest-ranking campaign of the year.

Commitment to innovation, social impact and strategic excellence

The Cadbury Homegrown Story of Impact and Generosity Storytime Studio initiatives focused on improving literacy among South African children by encouraging reading, developing stories, and recording audiobooks in all 11
official languages.

For its 200th anniversary milestone, the world’s biggest chocolate maker captured its rich heritage in South Africa, centered on creating heartfelt memories.

In conclusion, Modi expressed gratitude for their three-year journey with Cadbury, which has not only delivered exceptional results for both brands, but also “meaningful impact for the community,” she said.

The annual Assegai Awards are renowned for recognising breakthrough strategies, creative brilliance and outstanding results. True to form, Triple Eight has over the past 12 years grown to become a marketing agency of choice for companies looking to make the world a better place.
