The biggest kiddies festival is coming to Lanseria this Saturday

Boasting some of South Africa's hottest acts such as DJ Zinhle and DJ Arch Jnr, the Adorable Fest promises a variety of kids friendly rides, live shows and fun activities for the whole family

The GOG Lifestyle Park in Lanseria is prepping up for one of the biggest lifestyle gatherings in the heart of the Craddle of Humankind, northwest of Johannesburg. The Adorable Fest is finally here and promises doting moms and dads along with their young ones a rollercoaster of fun-filled activities that will keep them thoroughly entertained all day long.

Hosted for the first time ever in Lanseria on Saturday (May 4, 2019), the concept was sampled last December in the small North West town of Taung where it attracted over 7000 attendees. Due to popular demand, the festival is making an anticipated return with organisers adamant that it will be bigger and better than last. This year’s show promises fireworks with a long list of television personalities expected to make special appearances. These include the likes of TV and radio host Bujy Bikwa, former Muvhango actor Themba Nofemele, Marjorie Langa (Scandal), Neo Ramitshana (Skeem Saam) and Being Bonang star Pinky Girl (real name Tebogo Mekgwe).

DJ Arch Jnr is on the bill

Fun outdoor activities for the whole family

Kids friendly musical entertainment will be the order of the day with singer Chomee, DJ Zinhle and DJ Arch Jnr confirmed as headline acts. DJ and radio host Mac G (947), hip hop artist Tloks Lepara, Eugene Michael and DJ Owami Mafokate are also on the bill. Kids of all ages will have a broad array of leisurely outdoor activities to choose from, including water games, jumping castles, park rides and a mini colour run. A school talent competition is also on the cards for those with a competitive edge.

On why he felt the need to put together a magnificent show of this nature, show director McMillan Masoka had this to say: “I started the event simply out of pure frustration upon realising there wasn’t that many family-friendly entertainment that caters specially for children, particularly in this side of town. So this is an opportunity for them to dress up, come have a good time, all the while spending quality time with their loved ones.”
