South Africans relying on SASSA social grants can now breathe easy—ALL eligible grants for February are set for payment!

Who qualifies for February SASSA payments?
The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) provides critical financial relief through these grants. Critical grants eligible for February payment are as follows (payment dates included:
1. Old Age Grant: Lifeline for seniors aged 60+ — Tuesday, February 4
2. Disability Grant: Immediate support for individuals who are unable to work due to a physical or mental disability — Wednesday, February 5
3. Child Support Grant (CSG): Essential relief for caregivers — Thursday, February 6
4. Foster Child Grant: Aid for foster parents — grants for all children will be paid from Thursday, February 6.
5. Grant-in-Aid: persons who already receive a grant under a said category but require further support due to severe disability — payments will be paid from Wednesday, February 5
6. Social Relief of Distress (SRD) Grant: Emergency aid for vulnerable households — payments to be processed between February 24 and 28 (for approved applicants).
7. War Veterans Grant: Support for military veterans — Tuesday, February 4
8. Care Dependency Grant: Help for parents of children with severe disabilities — payments to be processed from Thursday, February 6

Designated SASSA payment methods / stores
SASSA beneficiaries have two convenient options for receiving their grants:
- Direct bank deposit: upu can choose to have your your grant paid directly transferred to your bank account.
- Cash withdrawals: Visit designated payment points, be it ATMs or retail stores of your choice (Pick n Pay, Checkers, Shoprite, and Boxer).
How to apply for a SASSA grant
Applying is simple! You can:

➡️ Authorise a family member or friend to apply on your behalf using a power of attorney if you’re unable to apply due to age or illness.
➡️ Request a home visit, though this may take additional time.
