Big Brother Mzansi S6 Bazozwa: Mashel and Dene Jones evicted

Week 3 ends with a double eviction as Biggie tightens the rules and the Bazozwa house enters its most volatile phase yet.

Mashel and Dene Jones have been evicted from the Big Brother Mzansi Season 6 Bazozwa house, becoming the third and fourth housemates to leave the competition. Their exits followed the season’s first major nomination cycle, which saw 10 housemates up for possible eviction.

The results were revealed during Sunday night’s Live Eviction Show, confirming Biggie’s warning that survival in the Bazozwa house will be anything but comfortable.

Sunday live eviction show: “tonight kusazoshuba”

The show opened with a performance by Tom London, joined by Zee_Nhle and Slick Widit on Amagama. Host Smash Afrika quickly set the tone, declaring what viewers across Mzansi were already feeling:
“Tonight kusazoshuba!”

Smash walked audiences through the intense Week 3 nomination process, unpacking how alliances formed, cracked, and ultimately influenced the public vote.

During the broadcast, Tumi the Barber reflected on his Head of House reign, becoming the first HoH to be evicted from the luxury suite. When asked whether Tumi had led the house or played for himself, Liema bluntly responded: “Definitely, he is more about Tumi.”

Eviction results: Who left the Bazozwa House

Mashel evicted

Mashel became the third housemate evicted this season. He admitted that the outcome was not entirely unexpected, suggesting that his close associations in the house — possibly linked to Ofentse, who was evicted last week — may have worked against him.

Dene Jones evicted

Moments later, Dene Jones followed as the fourth housemate to leave Biggie’s house. She described her eviction as “shocking”, especially as she felt her journey — and her connection with Tumi the Barber — was far from complete.

Their exits echoed predictions made on Spills with Biggie earlier in the week, where panelists accurately forecast that Mashel and Dene were the most vulnerable heading into Sunday.

The week that was: Power, punishment and wager loss

This week’s AmaVIP theme turned the house into a real-world popularity contest, where influence dictated power, privileges, and safety.

Key moments included:

  • Neliswa winning R10,000 during the Friday night arena games
  • Biggie issuing warnings and punishments for rule-breaking
  • Praise reserved only for Dene Jones and Mshefane for good behaviour
  • Thandeka receiving the harshest punishment, including a ban from the next Head of House challenge

The house also suffered its first wager loss after failing a 100% wager task that required teamwork. As punishment, Biggie closed all bedrooms, forcing housemates — including the HoH — to sleep in the lounge.

What happens next

All remaining nominated housemates were declared safe, but Biggie ended the night with a chilling reminder:
“Comfort is temporary. This week, lines will be drawn.”

Viewers can tune in Monday, February 2, for the next Head of House challenge, which will determine who takes control of the Bazozwa house in Week 4.
