The Nokia Power Earbuds Lite is the latest entrant in the affordable truly wireless (TWS) earbuds market in South Africa, delivering an overall stellar performance – from a marathon 35-hour battery life, to good sound quality and more!
Winning design
The Nokia earbuds comes in a simple and utilitarian design. With this product, Nokia has gone against the norm – think Samsung Galaxy Buds and Realme Buds Air Pro which both come in glossy and curved cases.
Instead, the Nokia earbuds’ case is squarish and is available in a sleek matte finish, which helps set it apart from its rivals. The earbuds, however, come in a mix of matte and plastic.
Outdoor-friendly sound quality
True to Nokia’s innovative nature, the earbuds sport an in-canal design, a good move considering that it doesn’t have active noice cancellation. So they come in handy when it comes to blocking external noise, which can be a bit of pain in outdoorwish or noisy environments.
Although they are chunkier, they are lightweight and comfortable to wear for extended amount of time, like when taking a long walk / jog on any given busy morning or afternoon. Plus it can handle up to 30 minutes in 1m of water in case it rains on your way home.
Lasting battery life
It’s been just over two weeks since we’ve had the Nokia Earbuds Lite in our possession, and we are simply loving its lasting 35-hour battery life, beating both the Apple AirPods and Galaxy Buds (which gives you up to 24 hours of battery power, despite it being more than half-a-price cheaper.
A week has gone by since we last charged the case (at the time of writing this) – that’s in between taking them along for my regular 1-hour morning jogs (four so far) and just listening to music on every lazy day of the week – and it’s still going strong. So the 35-hour battery promise may not be so far from the truth.
