Consumers have spoken: Announcing the 2025 Product of the Year South Africa winners

South Africa’s top consumer picks revealed: 2025 Product of the Year winners showcase innovation and trust.

JOHANNESBURG — South African consumers have cast their votes, and the results are in! The 2025 edition of the annual Product of the Year Awards South Africa have crowned 32 standout brands across diverse categories—from personal care to finance—proving once again that innovation and consumer trust go hand in hand.

Chosen through a nationally representative survey of 2,000 shoppers conducted by Kantar, this year’s winners reflect what South Africans truly value: quality, relevance, and ingenuity in an increasingly competitive market.

What made this year’s awards stand out

Edith Venter, General Manager of Product of the Year South Africa, explains: “As South African shoppers continue to tighten their belts and juggle daily expenses, the peace of mind that they are spending wisely on products that are recognised and endorsed by their fellow consumers is priceless.”

The 2025 edition also introduces a refreshed Product of the Year logo, reinforcing the brand’s promise of consumer-backed excellence. Mike Nolan, Global CEO of Product of the Year, adds: “We’re seeing incredible growth and momentum in South Africa. The programme’s ability to welcome entries across all industries demonstrates its relevance in today’s market.”
