Elon Musk vs Julius Malema: why the West fears Malema?

Elon Musk calls for sanctions against Julius Malema after accusing him of calling for the genocide of white people in South Africa, sparking a global debate on Western interference.

In a fiery exchange that has captured global attention, Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader Julius Malema — who denies calling for the genocide of white people in South Africa as claimed by Elon Musk –has reiterated his call for Africa to take control of its own resources, free from Western dominance.

This bold stance has drawn both admiration and criticism, particularly from prominent Western figures like Elon Musk and former US President Donald Trump.

Jackson Hinkle’s Viral Message: Why the West Fears Julius Malema

Prominent American political commentator Jackson Hinkle’s shared a powerful message on X (formerly Twitter) to his 2.6 million followers:
“Julius Malema wants AFRICA, NOT the West, to control its own resources. This is WHY the West hates this man.”

Hinkle’s post highlights the growing tension between African leaders advocating for self-determination and Western powers seeking to maintain their influence over the continent’s vast
natural wealth.

Elon Musk vs. Julius Malema: A Clash of Ideologies

The spat between Elon Musk and Julius Malema began when Musk retweeted an old clip of Malema on X (formerly Twitter) speaking about “cutting the throat of whiteness.” In the clip, Malema said, “These people, when you want to hit them hard, go after a white man. They feel terrible pain because you have touched a white man. We’re cutting the throat of whiteness.”

Musk responded by calling for Malema’s immediate sanction and declaration as an international criminal. Malema fired back on X, directly addressing Musk: “I really think you have entirely lost your left brain: a typical spoiled brat and direct beneficiary of Apartheid whiteness,” Malema charged. “I know black people look the same to you, typical racist. Look closer, and you will realise those are two different people. America is exposing us to its stupidity. I don’t care about your sanctions; I will never stop fighting for black people to be equal to white people, and if that makes me an international criminal, I am proud to be one.”

EFF’s Unwavering Stand Against Western Imperialism

The EFF also issued a strong statement, vowing to resist Western imperialism: “The EFF will not be cowed into submission, retreat nor capitulation from its principled and unwavering commitment to confront imperialism and its surrogates like Elon Musk anywhere and everywhere it rises its ugly head.”

This clash comes amid heightened tensions between South Africa and the United States. Recently, President Cyril Ramaphosa signed the
Expropriation Act
into law, a move that has drawn sharp criticism from not from Afrikaans speaking communities (Afrikaners) in South Africa, but Western leaders.

US Aggression and South Africa’s Response: The BRICS Alliance

In response to US aggression, Trump announced executive orders cutting US funding for HIV/AIDS programs in South Africa and prioritising white Afrikaners for the US refugee program. The EFF has urged the Ramaphosa government to strengthen ties with BRICS partners, arguing that South Africa is being punished for its support of Palestine, particularly after taking Israel to the International Court of Justice. *Read about the ICJ South Africa v.
