How to play Daily Lotto in South Africa
Daily Lotto is a National Lottery game in which players select five numbers from 1 to 36.
A board costs R3, and you can choose your numbers manually or use Quick Pick.
The game draws five numbers every night except Christmas Day, with the draw scheduled for 9pm.
Ticket sales close at 8.30pm for official in-store and National Lottery purchases, although banking apps may impose an earlier cutoff.
Players win by matching two, three, four or all five numbers.
Daily Lotto has jackpot odds of 1 in 376,992, making it easier to hit the top prize than in Lotto, Lotto Plus 1, Lotto 5 Max or PowerBall.
If nobody matches all five numbers, the jackpot rolls down to the next qualifying prize division instead of carrying over to the following draw.
