Banking platforms now account for 60% of National Lottery ticket sales, according to operator Sizekhaya Holdings.
This offers players convenience, digital records and winnings linked to a player’s account. A recent example was a Capitec app player who won more than R65 million.
For physical tickets, keep the original ticket safe and follow the authorised retailer or prize-payment process for your winnings.
Digital players should check their linked banking platform for instructions.
Larger prizes may require identity and banking verification through Sizekhaya Holdings, the current National Lottery operator.
All prizes must be claimed within 365 days of the draw.
