Largely praised for its screen quality and lasting battery performance, the range is already available for purchase in South Africa at selected cellular networks and via Samsung SA online store.
Fittingly, the A52s 5G is priced slightly lower – by approximately R1, 000 – than the original phone, which is not surprising given that it comes with few but significant specs upgrades such as the enhanced processor in the form of the Snapdragon 778G and a 120Hz refresh rate. In comparison, the A52 had a Snapdragon 720G and 90Hz display.
Much like its predecessor, with this range, Samsung is not only bringing affordable innovation to more consumers, but its putting the next generation of technology as enabled by 5G in the hands of more people, with the hope of connecting everything and everyone sooner than expected.
Compatible with a wider Galaxy ecosystem of connected devices, among them the Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro and watches, the A52s support Samsung’s multi-tier ’12 Band’ 5G strategy, which makes access to 5G network easier as compared to other mid-range phones.
A52s’ top tiers features, mid tier price
Below are some of the truly immersive experience awaiting consumers:
Premier design display
Sitting well with the likes of Samsung Galaxy S21 series in terms of browsing speed, A52s has a 120Hz superior refresh rate, as well a punch-hole design with slim bezels.
This gives the phone significant improvement if you if you play a lot of mobile games, or prefer to watch movies and series in your phone. It means you can enjoy your favourite shows on a large, flat and immersive 6.5 Super AMOLED display, and better still you can scroll smoothly for hours on end.
When using the 120Hz mode, almost every app including Netflix, YouTube and Showmax work and all Google apps operate at this speed, expect for few of those that mandates the 60Hz refresh rate at all times for whatever reason, notably the Google Map and Camera app.
Near-unparalleled quality photography
Users will enjoy an enhanced camera experience with the Multi Role Quad camera, a welcomed addition to the 64MP main (OIS) camera, 12MP Ultra Wide, 5MP Macro an 5MP Depth Camera, not to mention the impressive 32MP Selfie Camera.
It’s also important to mention that several AI-powered shooting modes have now been added to the camera offering including portrait, pro and single shot, allows users to capture shoot a video or take multiple still photos in a particular moment, capturing whatever is in the frame for 10 second – it’s no winder it’ been dubbed the most thoughtful camera feature ever by Samsung by Sammobile.
And If recent consumer reviews are anything to go by, terms of overall quality, it looks like Samsung has finally listened to consumers concerns in this particular instance, and has toned down on the over-saturation factor with the sensor to make the photos look more natural, with an impressive amount of details and colours.
Immersive entertainment experience
The Galaxy A52s 5G lets users maximise their game experience with AI-based Game Booster. The feature uses data about the temperature and memory to automatically adjust your settings to give users a seamless gaming experience. The long-lasting 4,500 mAH battery also comes with 25W super-fast charging, meaning more time gaming and less time waiting for a fully charged battery.
Furthermore, Dolby Atmos enables an immersive 3D, surround-sound experience, revealing every detail music with unparalleled clarity and depth. Worried about rain? The revolutionary IP67 feature makes it dust and water resistant, and can withstands up to 1m water for 30 minutes.
Another additional features which proves to be a hit among Galaxy fans across the world include the RAM Plus, which allows users to expand the memory of their smartphone by 4GB virtually, essentially making memory management better. It also adds improvements to both the camera and device stability.
