Full of fascinating magic spells and jaw dropping stunts ever captured on film (think Harry Potter), it comes as no surprise that Fantastic Beasts:Crimes of Gringelwald has charmed its way to the top of this week’s best performing films in South Africa.
Earning first place on this week’s Ster-Kinekor’s top 10, the fantasy blockbuster has pushed back long time favorite, Nobody’s Fool to the second position. Directed by David Yates and written by yours truly J.K Rowling, the sequel sees a powerful wizard Gellert Grindelwald (played by Johnny Depp), escape custody after being captured by MACUSA (Magical Congress of the United States of America) and sets out to gather followers to rule over non-magical beings. On the way, trials and tribulations arise that further put a test on bonds and relationships in a divided wizarding world.
Wondering what else is there to do this weekend as Black Friday bargains takes grip of the country, make sure you head to your nearest cinema; there’s a lot of great movies to watch if you want to kick back and relax!
