How to play Daily Lotto under Sizekhaya
Daily Lotto has retained its core format since Sizekhaya Holdings took over as National Lottery operator on June 1, 2026.
Players still select five numbers from 1 to 36, each board costs R3, and draws take place every evening at 9pm.
Ticket sales close at 8.30pm (with an earlier 8.25pm cut-off for Capitec and Nedbank app users).
One notable addition is Daily Lotto MultiPlay 1 (MP1), which allows players to select six numbers to cover six different five-number combinations in a single draw.
This differs from changes to PowerBall, where the former PowerBall Plus add-on was replaced by PowerBall Xtra.
The price of a standard PowerBall entry increased from R5 to R10, while the add-on rose from R2.50 to R5.

Winners have 365 days from the draw date to claim their prize.
Check the operator’s current claim requirements and keep your ticket or digital entry details safe.
