Ready to settle down? South Africa’s most eligible bachelor wants to meet you

Finally, the moment all the female singletons in South Africa have been waiting for is here! The oh-so yummy Marc Buckner has been announced as M-Net's next eligible bachelor - for season 2 of The Bachelor SA

OF COURSE some women like us – way over 21 and still single – very much cling to the fantasy of finding great love and living happily ever after. If you too haven’t found “the one”, you’ll understand all too well why this latest reveal would make many pretty single hopefuls like us this utterly excited. Just a mere glance at the down-to-earth but blazing-hot Marc Buckner, M-Net’s next Bachelor (Bachelor SA S2), will instantly make you go weak in the knees.

As you can see he’s easy on the eyes, with that “ready-to-settle-down-for-life” charm that grabs you right from the start. And from what we understand, he isn’t only witty, adventurous but smart too – remember smarter men are known (see research ) to cheat on their wives less often – yikes! Even better, we are told that this globe-trotting part time model and actor has built a solid career as a multiple property owner/currency trader/investor – a complete package we tell you!

Not long after the first season of The Bachelor South Africa wrapped up May last year, M-Net made it known that they will be embarking on another exciting love journey. As such, an invitation was immediately sent out to all the single ladies looking to settle down with the man of their dreams. Now, with entries closing in less than three days, Wednesday (September 11) at midnight, M-Net has decided to reveal the name of the flamboyant lad who will be handing out the sought-after roses in season 2.

Last chance: SA’s eligible bachelor ready to meet his ladies

Tonight (Sunday, September 8), just after Carte Blanche, viewers will be able to see for themselves why M-Net simply couldn’t resist signing up this dashing 36-year old as SA’s next bachelor. “Marc is the type of guy who puts his heart and soul into everything he does,” says M-Net’s spokesperson, Lani Lombard. “But once you’ve seen that twinkle in his eye and have the chance to engage with him in conversations  on a range of topics – from environmental issues, to motorbikes, healthy living, wellness, psychology and news headlines – there’s really only one way to describe him – husband material! And that’s exactly what we want our bachelor to be.”

Much like his American counterpart, Chris Harrison, one of the longest running hosts in the competition’s iconic 95-year history (since 2002), including its spin-offs, The Bachelorette (2003), Bachelor Pad (2010) and most recently, Bachelor in Paradise , South Africa’s own Jason Greer reprises his role as the show’s level-headed host. Not only will the accomplished Johannesburg based television presenter facilitate the intense rose ceremonies, but his experience as a married man – just 1 year shy of a decade – will come in handy whenever Buckner needs a good relationship advice.

For tonight’s big reveal, make sure you are tuned in to M-Net (DStv channel 101) no later than 7.30pm.
