As expected, Mzansi it girl, businesswoman and broadcaster extraordinaire, Bonang Matheba, turned the Sun Met 2020 on its head as she arrived at the Cape Town Kenilworth Racecourse flanked by immaculately styled pair of white-gloved butlers.
They carried with them two black boxes – inscribed with the House of BNG logo – which happened to contain some of the first bottles of her new Prestige Reserve Brut MCC (Méthode Cap Classique.
A follow up to the House of BNG range, which debuted last March with the introduction of Brut and Brut Rosé MCCs, the Prestige Reserve will go on sale in mid-March.
For those not in the know, MCC is the South African version of the French Champagne. While it’s made using the same process, it just can’t carry the term ‘Champagne’, as it’s reserve for sparkling wines produced in France.

Elegantly designed in black and gold hexagon art prints, one can only hope the limited Prestige Reserve Brut tastes as divine at the swag-dripping bottle looks.
