The outpouring of tributes came shortly after the family of South African artist Riky Rick confirmed his untimely passing on Wednesday afternoon.
“Son, husband, father, brother and uncle, Riky ‘Ricky’ Makhado (34) sadly passed away in the early hours of this morning (23rd February) in Johannesbur,” read a family statement confirming his sad passing.
As further explained, the doting married father of two, whose love for family, friends and community was well documented through many of the social media posts he shared regularly, was equally deeply loved and cherished by his family, friends and the South African entertainment industry at large.
The family of Riky Rick, who is survived by his wife, two children, his mother and five siblings, has humbly requested privacy as they go through this extremely difficult period of grieving.
Details of the funeral and memorial will be confirmed at a later stage.
