Success is not a free gift that falls into our laps in life by chance. We must works hard and be courageous enough to take risks and do the unthinkable in order to realise our wildest dreams or achieve the impossible.

No one knows this all too well than one half of ‘My Kitchen Rules SA‘ S4 winning duo and besties, Abraham and Michelle.

“It has been an amazing journey from start to finish, I can’t believe that we’re the winners of My Kitchen Rules season 4,” Michelle said, adding: “Fortune favours the brave!”

Her sentiments and many others’ sum up the journeys of the rest of the finalists in their quests to claiming one the culinary industry’s biggest TV competitions, which comes with a whopping R1 Million grand prize for the winning team.

The three teams were greeted by their ‘Instant Restaurant’ banners to remind them how far they’d come in the finale – and were tasked by the judges to show their progress, in their food.

They had to produce a three-course meal that showed their strengths while honouring their culture and heritage, which would be interrogated by ‘MKRSA‘ judges David Higgs and J’Something, along with kitchen superstars Siba Mtongana, Zola Nene, Wandile Mabaso and Kayla-Ann Osborn.

The judges would each give a score out of 10 for the overall menu, based on presentation, creativity and flavour.

In the end, a ‘genius’ dessert and perfectly-cooked lamb main saw the two take this year’s title. Below, the couples share tips and all the important lessons learned from their journeys.
