N.B: In recent years, Huawei has made concerted effort to move beyond Google Services, by successfully launching and operating – as part of Huawei Mobile Services – its own viable Google Play alternative, the Huawei AppGallery, and it contains a number of descent apps, including Microsoft, Amazon, TikTok. It even has its own alternative to Google Maps called Petal Maps – which offers navigation, live traffic and public transport information.
For those looking for core apps from big tech companies that aren’t yet available on Huawei’s App Gallery – be it Twitter, Facebook, Instagram or Netflix – and even those from Google itself, notably Gmail, Petal Search lets users download APKs of apps to the latest Huawei phones and devices, which scan the files to ensure they’re safe before you can install them.
