A leaked audio purported to be convicted rapist and murderer Thabo Bester threatening Dr Nandipha Magudumana has caused a stir, igniting widespread curiosity and heated exchanges among the South African online community regarding its authenticity and origin.

The alleged yet-to-be-verified leaked audio clip in which the notorious Facebook rapist and murderer Thabo Bester appears to be threatening to kill his lover Dr Nandipha Magudumana in a recorded phone call has caused a massive stir on social media, with many questioning its legitimacy.

In the audio, first published by NOWinSA among other prominent Twitter accounts, Bester can be heard threatening Dr Nandipha’s husband and children and says he’ll kill her if she disobeys him again and that he runs the house. 

“I am driving to Johannesburg tonight, when I get there if I call you and you don’t f*cken pick up the phone, uzosola impilo yakho,” (you’ll regret this).

The man goes as far as saying he would burn “Nandipha” and her lover in the couple’s much-publicised rented Hyde Park mansion.

A shaken Dr Nandipha responds: “Angi understand why you’re saying this Tom (one of the aliases Bester has used), why are you threatening me.”

As the details and legitimacy of the video remains to be unraveled, the South African online community continues to have heated discussions about its origins and the implications it may have on the investigation.
