The 32nd annual South African Music Awards (SAMA32) took place on Saturday, August 15, 2026, live from the Sun City Superbowl in the North West Province, and were broadcast on SABC1.
Hosted by Cassper Nyovest and Zanele Potelwa, the ceremony honoured South African music across genres from amapiano to maskandi, gospel to Afrikaans pop, with kwaito pioneer Oskido receiving two of the night’s top honours.

Mzukulu was the night’s standout double winner, taking both Motsweding FM Male Artist of the Year and Best Maskandi Album for Ng’funa Intozami.
DJ Maphorisa and Xduppy also had a strong night, with Ngomoya from their Abantwana Bakho project claiming both Best Collaboration and Most Streamed Song of the Year.
Tyla’s AfriPure International Achievement Award marks her second time receiving the honour, following her first Grammy win.
It comes a year after Goldmax and Thandiswa Mazwai dominated SAMA31, with Goldmax taking Male Artist of the Year and Play At Your Own Risk winning Album of the Year.
