How to verify your Daily Lotto ticket

You can check your Daily Lotto numbers on the National Lottery results portal, at any authorised retailer terminal or through banking apps such as Standard Bank, FNB or Nedbank if you played digitally.

Players can also scan their ticket barcode using the official Lottery app or log into the banking app they used to buy their ticket.

Prizes of up to R250,000 won through a banking app are typically paid automatically. Retailer tickets worth less than R50,000 can be claimed at the retailer.

Prizes above R50,000 require verification through Ithuba. Winnings above R250,000 must be claimed in person at a regional Ithuba office, with identification and banking details required.

How to play Daily Lotto

Daily Lotto tickets are available from authorised retailers, through the National Lottery Mobile App and participating banking apps, including Standard Bank, FNB and Nedbank.

Sales close at 8:40pm on draw nights, with the winning numbers published online from 9pm.

How Daily Lotto odds compare

The Daily Lotto odds are based on choosing five numbers from a pool of 36.

That gives players jackpot odds of 1 in 376,992. The odds remain fixed regardless of rule changes elsewhere in the National Lottery.

Daily Lotto offers considerably better jackpot odds than the main Lotto, at 1 in 20,358,520, and PowerBall, at 1 in 33,900,160.

Its frequent draws and roll-down structure also mean players who miss the jackpot can still qualify for smaller prizes.
