How to play Daily Lotto and understand the odds

Daily Lotto costs R3 per board. Players select five numbers from 1 to 36, with draws held every night at 9pm. An optional Daily Lotto Plus entry costs an additional R1.50.

The odds of matching all five numbers and winning the jackpot are 1 in 376,992 — substantially better than the main Lotto’s odds of 1 in 20,358,520. That makes the Daily Lotto jackpot roughly 54 times easier to hit mathematically, although every draw remains random.
