The Samsung HotBlast continues to win the hearts of green living enthusiasts in South Africa

Smart kitchen; the next big thing after smartphones for people on the move!

The future of smart technology is not only getting better and better for mobile phones, tablets, and wearable technology. Tech companies are doing their utmost best to win the battle to control every aspect of our lives with the launch of one unique software after the other – this is evident as we get to witness one of the greatest technological innovations ever, taking the form of kitchen appliances.

The 32L Samsung HotBlast microwave oven is one such an innovation, taunted as a one stop cooking experience, not only allowing more “healthier” time with family and loved ones – thanks to its radical time saving technology. It has also won the hearts of green living enthusiasts for making a move closer to energy saving and greener cooking solutions a reality.

The Samsung HotBlast is meant to help users whip up delicious, tasty treats in no time, and unlike traditional grills, it reportedly reduces cooking time by up to 50% over conventional microwaves, while it cooks food more evenly with an improved coverage of up to 99%. The device’s innovative technology, the powerful hot air is blown through multiple air-holes directly onto food, so it’s cooked evenly with a crispy and crunchy texture outside and juicy inside.

Despite its compact size, the internal dimensions have been increased, so the turntable is even wider than conventional microwaves. Measuring 345 mm, it enables users to cook larger plates of food. Luxuriously styled in a sleek black frontal glass and a flushed handle, adding a touch of sophistication to any kitchen, it is no wonder the 900-watt oven was awarded the International Design Excellence Award ( IDEA) in the kitchen appliance category, a year before its release in South Africa more than a year ago.

Last month, the Korean tech giant set another precedence when it took home 49 IDEA awards, including two silvers for the Dual Cook Flex, a premium oven perfectly equipped with a flexible door system to conveniently cook more than two dishes at the same time without excessive heat loss. Another top honor went to the Samsung’s internet of things (IoT) inspired Chef Collection, built-in kitchen appliances consisting of a Bluetooth-enabled microwave, dishwasher, and a 4-door flex refrigerator.

“Making life a little easier is part of Samsung’s mission. Using advanced technologies such as the Samsung HotBlast is just one way to entice people with mouth-watering delights,” says Tracy Gordon, head of product marketing for digital appliances at Samsung South Africa.
