Huawei P30 and P30 Pro stunning camera capabilities set new industry standards

Rewrite the rules of smartphone camera technology with the groundbreaking Huawei P30 Series, now available im South Africa at cellular stores nationwide

Huawei has officially launched its latest P30 series flagship – the P30 Pro, P30 and P30 lite – and customers can now rewrite the rules of photography with the groundbreaking flagship range. Tipped as the company’s most advanced camera smartphones to date, the devices feature the innovative Huawei’s Super Spectrum Sensor, anoptical Super Zoom Lens, a new Huawei Time of Flight (ToF) camera, and enhanced optical and AI image stabilization technology. With the P30 or P30 Pro in hand, users can capture incredible photos and videos in every scenario. Equipped with a new Leica Quad Camera system (4 cameras), one of the key features of the P30 Pro is its brand new 40-megapixel ‘SuperSpectrum’ image sensor, which allows in more light than ever before.

It also boasts a 20MP ultra-wide angle camera, an 8MP telephoto camera, a HUAWEI Time-of-Flight (TOF) Camera, along with a 32MP front camera for a new level of selfies. With the new f/1.6 wide aperture sensor, the camera captures incredible ultra-wide images, while the AIS + OIS ensure it delivers brighter images in any light, even at night. Experts also tout the low-light video capturing capabilities of the P30 and P30 Pro, which use multiple cameras simultaneously to capture videos, allowing users to capture both the full view of a scene and close-ups.

The 6.1-inch P30 and 6.47-inch P30 Pro come in classic black and three new gradient finishes – amber sunrise, breathing crystal and aurora. Available in midnight black, pearl white and peacock blue, the 6.15-inch P30 Lite on the other hand has a 24-megapixel rear camera and a 32-megapixel front camera.

Launched in South Africa on Wednesday (April 3), MTN and Vodacom are offering the much-anticipated smartphones to its postpaid and prepaid customers at selected stores and online. Customers who sign up or upgrade to Huawei P30 Pro will get a free Huawei Watch GT Active valued at R5 499, while those who sign up or upgrade to Huawei P30 will get a Huawei Band 2 Pro, charging case and wireless charger, all valued at R3897.
