Euro-African mental health song collabo ‘Troubled’ is officially out

Promoting mental health, the much-anticipated cross-country song collaboration, 'Trouble', featuring musicians from Botswana and Denmark releases in South Africa this week (Friday, January 8).

Troubled” is the lead single created by Botswana guitar maestro Solly Sebotso and Botswana-born, Joburg-based music new-find, Mpho Sebina, and Danish star and producer, J Spliff.

Fusing Botswana’s four string Guitar (a local traditional folk music) and Danish Electronic Dance Music  in a cool, contemporary style, the song was inspired by the need to drive open conversations among creative people around mental health.

Respectively, it forms part of the ‘Heartstrings & Heartbeats‘ campaign, a global public engagement project that seeks to create knowledge exchange between scientists in Botswana and Denmark, including collaborations on projects emerging from explorations of mental health issues affecting creative people.
