Boomtown 2023 Durban July’s freshest lineup announced

It’s all systems to go as Boomtown announces the latest lineup for the much-anticipated lifestyle experience at the Hollywoodbets Durban July; joining the likes of Mafikizolo, Prince Kaybee, Blxckie, DJ Fresh and more.

Johannesburg – With less than a month to go before the most anticipated annual horse race event of the year, Boomtown organisers have finalised their lineup for the much-coveted lifestyle experience at the Hollywoodbets Durban July this past week.


Presented by Heineken, over the past two weeks Boomtown announced a good mix of headline favourites and local acts billed to perform at this year’s event on their social media platforms.

The first batch includes the multiple award-winning Afropop music outfit Mafikizolo, platinum selling artist Prince Kaybee, hiphop royalty Blxckie, dance duo sensation Murumba Pitch, superstar DJ Fresh, local favourite hiphop favourite Okmalukoolkat and rising music sensation TenOceans.

Also set to dazzle the attendees with fresh tunes  are SA’s much-loved DJ duo Speedsta and DJ Milkshake, who now performs under the stage name ‘No Comply’, as sell as the new generation masters of the decks, Shillly Mingz and GoldMax. SAMA award-winning Afro-music singer and songwriter Sino Msolo Sino Msolo and Amapiano hitmakers Pcee and Justin 99 will also headline the concert.

Now in its 13th edition, Boomtown has delivered the ultimate hospitality experience at the Durban July year upon year without fail.

“As expected Boomtown is stepping it up a notch again this year featuring some of the biggest Afropop, House, Afrotec, HipHop and Amapiano artists and DJs in the country. We have locked down an exciting selection of talent to ensure we cater for everyone,” organiser Sazi Ngcobo said, adding: “One of our main goals is to offer every guest the ultimate lifestyle experience, making everyone feel like a VIP. It’s been a difficult few years in the country and it’s time we remember how to celebrate life as we South Africans know how to do. The day is all about the music, the fashion and of course the horses, so see you there! “

Taking place at Greyville Race Course, Durban on July 1, this year, the annual sports and fashion gathering is powered by national TV partner Mzansi Magic,  local station East Coast Radio and SA’s number youth station, Y.
