Huawei has teased its soon-to-be-released products, including its biggest yet 13.2 inch - the MatePad Pro - ahead of the tech giant's monumental global product launch in Dubai Tuesday, December 12.

Despite years of global tablet market shrink since 2016, Huawei has teased its soon-to-be-released products, including the MatePad Pro 13.2” ahead of a new global product launch in Dubai Tuesday, December 12.

This will be the largest tablet Huawei has released to date, and it signals that the company persistence to stay put on the global tablet category, which many top tablet vendors ditched following weakened demand since then, and worst still, in the aftermath of the pandemic.

This is exciting news for all tablet enthusiasts who’ve had to bear the brunt of weakened supply and demand of tablets and marks a milestone in the evolution of Huawei’s tablets.

While the economic market conditions made way for a notable tablet deployments, several key players are filling in the gap by bringing more features that are not only economically priced bringing in high value to consumers.

One such is notably Huawei in the effort to push its notebook products (among them the August 2022 Matebook X PRO), which require less advanced chips compared to their sanctioned smartphones. There are signs that this maybe a good period (last quarter of 2023) for the tablet market not only for top 2 vendors in the tablet category – Apple and Samsung respectively – but for Huawei still managed to maintain the third position in 2023Q1.

The new MatePad Pro 13.2-inch tablet will also have super thin bezels, meaning it may be enjoyed with a keyboard.

Huawei 10 year of tablet innovation; brand-new productivity tools

Huawei’s continuous investment in this market, and most importantly its understanding of the relevance of tablets as an entertainment device will come to live in this week’s global launch. Coming in the back of the widespread positive feedback of the MediaPad M series tablets with boasts high-end audiovisual features, Huawei has just announced the addition of two mobile office tools, the ‘App Multiplier’ to its revolutionary MediaPad M6, as well as the ‘Multi-Screen Collaboration’ to the MatePad Pro 10.8” – both which set a new benchmark for productivity on the go.

The MatePad Pro 11” also came with innovative apps like PC Application Engine and HUAWEI Notes, which enhanced office productivity even further. With the MatePad Pro 12.6”, consumers will welcomed its unique look and feel. Though not much is about the all new MatePad Pro 13.2-inch, we are told it features as many innovative technologies that will shape the future of the tablet market.

What we know so far is that the new MatePad Pro 13.2-inch tablet will also have super thin bezels, meansing it may be used and enjoyed with a keyboard instead of being just hand-held. A magnetic keyboard and third-generation M-Pencil (using StarLight technology, with 10 000 level pressure sensitivity for faster pen and ink productivity) will reportedly be available for the MatePad Pro, but we have to wait until tomorrow, Tuesday to learn whether they will sure be the case for South African consumers when the new power gadgets hit the market.
