Spritzer Saturday Brunch JHB raises the bar

The JHB/Gauteng leg of Brutal Fruit's famed girls themed Spritzer Saturday Brunch left a lasting impression on those who experienced its unmistakably delightful experience which stylishly combined enjoyable gourmet cuisine with a vibrant, cheerful atmosphere.

Johannesburg, South Africa – It’s said the best girls brunches don’t have to feel like an effort at all. That’s exactly how the famed Brutal Fruit Spritzer Saturday Brunch felt for crowds of happy-go-lucky young women with a healthy appetite of empowerment-driven summer get-togethers.

Though it has only been in existence for no more than a year (now in its second edition), it’s truly inspiring to see how the brunch has turned into such a trusted and truly enjoyable platform for like-minded women to connect, inspire and be empowered while enjoying mouth-watering spritzers, engaging in mindful and interactive activities, with some pretty mesmerising performances in between.

I found myself drawn not only to the determination and excitement the fabulously dressed throng of women exuded as the sashayed around, but the positive and infectious atmosphere that swept through the charming farm style Idlewild County Estate, Centurion.

Featuring high-energy performances from the likes of Lelo Whatsgood, Courtnae Paul, DBN Gogo, DJ Nix, LocHive DJ, Small Babes and Manana’s headline set with a 3 Piece band brought the event to a perfect, the images below capture not only the essence of South African indulgence, celebration and vibrant culture, but a true testament to the growing popularity and influence of the Spritzer Saturday Brunch series, which made its first stop two weeks earlier in Cape Town before coming to Gauteng.

Johannesburg’s trendsetters and socialites graced the event in fabulous, vibrant styles.
Pink vibe: ex-Uzalo actress Nyalleng Thibedi looked oh-so snazzy in a bright pink figure-hugging dress.
Unforgettable: were treated to live music performances throughout the event, creating the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable occasion.
Pop of colour: Pink is in, and was everywhere – in multiple different shades!
A girl’s girl: Everyone’s favourite female DBN Gogo’s highly-charged set brought the event to a perfect close.
