Global tech leader Honor announces its strategic distinguished lineup of speakers for the Africa Tech Festival 2024, where the company will debut as a Gold Sponsor.

Honor is marking its debut as a gold sponsor at the Africa Tech Festival as part of the three-day AfricaCom in Cape Town with a high-level speaker line-up.

Led by Honor South Africa CEO  Fred Zhou, the sought-after panel will lead an exclusive fireside chat titled ‘The Future of the Smartphone Industry’, scheduled for Tuesday, November 12.

The conversation promises to provide compelling insights into the evolving smartphone landscape, driven foldable technology. The panel will shed light on the future of smartphone in the African continent, with AI innovationa at the centre of it. According to the latest insights from IDC, Africa’s smartphone market increased 17.9% year-on-year to reach over 20 million units.

Honor to spotlight technological innovation at Africa Tech Festival

During the Africa Tech Festival, the Chinese tech company will showcase its latest advancements, including its flagship Magic Series foldable smartphones (Magic V2 and Magic6 Pro) and a range of Honor’s AI-enhanced products designed to democratise technology access.

A device nown for having the best platform-level AI camera capabilities and more, Honor MAgic6 Pro’s capabilities will be showcased during the event.

Attendees will have hands-on opportunities to experience these pioneering products and witness how the tech company’s innovations are set to transform Africa’s digital landscape.

The Africa Tech Festival 2024, set to take place from November 12 to 14 as part of the AfricaCom 2024 edition the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC).

The event brings together over 15,000 attendees, 400 speakers, and 300 exhibitors. “Honor’s participation as a Gold Sponsor signals its intention to lead and contribute to transformative discussions on digital strategy and the future of tech in Africa,” the company said in a statement sent to NOWinSA.
