While in its second week on the number 1 spot in the US, Walt Disney’s animation sequel to “Wreck it Ralph” smashed South African movie theaters for the first time this past week after premiering here on Friday.
Raking in a reported $25.6 million, the film beats Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, which took in $11.4 million
Complacent with his daily routine revolving around hanging out with Venellope at night and starring into his game during day, Ralph (voiced by John C. Reilly) is challenged by Venellope (voiced by Sarah Silverman) to switch things up, as she is longing for change. So Ralph sets out to go into her game, Sugar Rush, changing its course. Trouble follows and Sugar Rush gets unplugged, threatening to make Venellope and her friends homeless. They must now find a way to go online and save Sugar Rush while running into more problems that may well resonate with the reality of the online world today- tackling its dangers and sometimes harsh nature.
