Joburg esteemed restaurants, Marble and Saint, set to reopen (reservation only)

Two of Johannesburg North’s esteemed fine dining restaurants, Marble and Saint, are gearing up to reopen post COVID-19 lockdown - beginning September 1.

The team behind two of Johannesburg’s iconic restaurants, Marble and Saint, have announced that both restaurants will reopen September, for reservation only dinner.

Marble will be open from Tuesday, September 1, followed by Saint the next day, Wednesday (September 2 ).

“We’ve been closed for five months, and it’s time to get back to work,” says co-founder of the restaurants, Gary Kyriacou. “We are putting a host of safety mechanisms in place to ensure our guests feel as safe as possible while still ensuring the same high-quality, seamless experience they have come to know and love at both Marble and Saint.”

As part of the reopening, both restaurants will have reduced service times – each opening only for dinner. In order to manage social distancing requirements, seating has been limited in each restaurant and booking will be essential as no walk-ins will be accepted.

“It’s going to be awesome to reconnect face-to-face with everyone, and reignite all the relationships we’ve made,” said head chef David Higgs, adding “in a way, it’s going to be almost spiritual to relight the fires – it’s almost four years to the day we opened Marble, and two years since we opened Saint.”
