Get ready Mzansi! Cardi B is headed down South

Castle Lite sent the entire African continent into some serious frenzy as they revealed Thursday that the reigning queen of hip hop, Cardi B, will headline this year’s "Unlocks" experience.

Set to perform at the Johannesburg TicketPro Dome in South Africa on June 12, 2020, Cardi B is one of the world’s most recognised hip-hop brands, and has under her belt a 2019 Grammy award for best rap album for “Invasion of Privacy”.

Add to that a world record for the most simultaneous Billboard US hot R&B/hip-hop top 10 entries by a female and first woman – with five of the top 10 hits.

This year, Africa’s biggest beer brand, Castle Lite has taken things a notch up by having her headline the “Unlocks” experience, right in time for its 10th year anniversary.

Her performance is one of many Castle Lite Unlocks experiences, which saw Mzansi’s favourite chart-topping stars, among them Drake, J Cole, Chance the Rapper, Kanye West, Travis Scott, Post Malone, and Meek Mill set the “Unlocks” stages on fire.

“Castle Lite prides itself in not only being a market leader in the beer category, but also in our commitment to making a positive contribution to African Hip-Hop culture. We couldn’t be more excited to reveal the multi-award-winning ‘Press” hit-maker, Cardi B as this year’s headliner,” said Castle Lite Brand Director, Silke Bucker.

The brand made the big reveal on Thursday, February 20, with exclusive Early Bird tickets made available to all Castle Loud fans, sold from as little as R50.

Consumers who missed out on this special ticket treat can purchase their concert package deals at their full retail price starting at R690 from www.castlelite.co.za as of Friday, February 21, 2020.
