RUNWAY models are an integral part of every successfull fashion week production. They can equally get fashion crowds, buyers and media alike excited about a particular designer/s, ultimately contributing to their subsequent individual success.
Simply put, without fashion models there will be no show – just as there won’t be fashion editorials, TV coverage, and minute-minute broadcast of the live shows by the oh-so influential ‘social media celebrities’.
It is for this reason that the SA Fashion Week, has joined hands with the Mall of Africa to unearth the country’s newest male fashion models. If you are looking to be part of one the biggest fashion events in the South African social calendar, this is one opportunity you can’t afford to miss.
The Men Face of Fashion search is open to an aspiring male model, aged between 18 and 25, 1.83m or taller and well-built. Only those not belonging to any modelling agency are eligible to enter.
Explaining the vision behind the competition, a brief statement from the SAFW wibsite reads: “Designers are seeking talent that helps bring to life the vision and creativity of their collections. The Face of Fashion Search model competition, constantly introduces new model talent into the industry. The aim of the competition is to educate aspiring models on a career in fashion and modelling.”
